February is Black History Month, and to honor the occasion, we're shining a spotlight on four incredible artists from our eclectic community. We also celebrate the success of Dallas-based singer and songwriter Ellen Once Again, who recently had her song "Good Vibes" placed in a Dove commercial. Zilo
Zilo is a young London songwriter and storyteller whose love for painting and poetry led her to music. Now she uses poetry’s rhythm and rhyming patterns to create soothing R&B songs with groovy hip-hop beats. She has won praise from The FADER, Complex, Clash, and Crack Magazine.
Tamara Bubble
Rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Tamara Bubble blends pop, hip-hop, EDM, and soul to create timeless hits. The New York artist has had many sync licensing wins, including Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon official movie trailer, HBO’s Insecure, and Showtime’s Shameless, among many others.
Alvin Garrett
Alvin Garrett is a Grammy-nominated songwriter and Alabama native whose soaring voice has been compared to iconic singers such as Sam Cooke and Al Green. The son of a pastor, he is also an accomplished gospel writer and vocal arranger who has worked with Kelly Rowland, Ruben Studdard, Jarvis and more.
