  • Live Nation Urban and LiveXLive Media, Inc. have partnered with Color of Change for a 90-minute event, dubbed the Lift Every Voice: A Juneteenth Special, which will air at 8:00 pm ET. The event will commemorate African American freedom and celebrate the unifying language of music streamed across LiveXLive digital platforms. The event will be hosted by Charlamagne Tha God with correspondent Gia Peppers. Performers include Justine Skye, Jonathan McReynolds, Mick Jenkins, Joy Oladokun, Common featuring Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins, Fantastic Negrito, and discussions with Trae Tha Truth, Vic Mensa, Lion Babe, TI, Mereba, Leon Bridges and more.

 

  • Cypress Hill is performing in L.A., with the set viewable for free on the MelodyVR app. The set begins at 9 pm ET, and will be available on-demand beginning June 25.
  • Morgxn will host the third BMI Jam Session for the week on the label’s YouTube channel beginning at 3:00 pm ET/12:00 pm PT

 

Saturday, June 20

  • District 8’s Big Night In — Live Stream & Prizes — 8:00 pm on June 20 until 12:30 pm UTC on June 21 featuring Techno DJs; Sunil Sharpe, Cailín, Aeron & Yasmin Gardezi, alongside host Emmet Kirwan. You can view through this link.
  • T‑Pain, 2 Chainz and Brandi Carlile are among the artists taking part in Small Business Live, a virtual music event focused on helping minority-owned small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Each act is set to perform on location at a small business of their choice, with proceeds from the online benefit going to the Accion Opportunity Fund.   • Papa Roach will perform their 2000 sophomore album, Infest, in its entirety for the band’s second “INFEST IN-Studio” live-streaming event. The concert will also feature exclusive discussions of the band talking about the album’s origins from inside their Sacramento-based studio, and will begin streaming at 5:00 pm ET/2:00 pm PT.

  • #AtYourHome (June 8–21, 2020) — a multi-genre live-stream music festival in support of the Avenida Café-Concerto concert hall in Aveiro, Portugal that features 30 artists around the world.

  • Carnegie Hall, the iconic New York concert hall, is streaming a selection from its archive every Friday beginning at 3:00 am ET as part of Carnegie Hall Fridays. Streams will remain accessible for 72 hours. Visit carnegiehall.org for the updated schedule.
  • The Grateful Dead’s YouTube channel plays hosts every Friday to Shakedown Stream, a two-part live stream for fans of the long-running rock band. Archivist David Lemieux and historian Gary Lambert host a live Q&A, which is followed by a re-airing of a classic Dead show. Fridays at 8:00 pm ET.
  • Pink Floyd will stream a concert from the British rock band’s long history every Friday at 12:00 pm ET. You can watch on YouTube.

  • Pickathon, an annual music festival in Portland, is streaming #AConcertADay every day at 4 p.m. ET on its YouTube channel.
  • D‑Nice, the celebrity DJ/producer/rapper/photographer, hosts nightly “Club Quarantine” live streams on his Instagram. They’ve featured “guest appearances” by singers like John Legend and rappers Common and Big Daddy Kane.
  • Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are hosting virtual hip hop battles on Instagram Live called Verzuz. Erykah Badu and Jill Scott came together for three hours of magic in a recent one.

  • H.E.R. hosts “Girls With Guitars,” a performance and conversation series, on her Instagram. Pasts guests included Sheryl Crow, Tori Kelly and Alessia Cara.

  • Claptone in the CircusTech-house artist, Claptone, has unveiled a weekly immersive video series called “Claptone In the Circus.” Every Wednesday from now until August 5th, 2020, the German producer will be streaming live at 12:00 pm PST, 3:00 pm EST through his YouTube channel.
  • Death Cab for Cutie Lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Gibbard has started a sporadic ‘Live From Homestream, on YouTube and Facebook.
