Festivals
- Way Out West Stream (August 14–15): Red Bull Dungen stage is the electronic heart of Way Out West. The live stream concept Dungen Digital will see the day of light over the same weekend as the festival was supposed to happen in Gothenburg, with four acts per evening. The live stream will be aired through Way Out West’s social channels and Twitch.
- My Friend’s Place Summer Festival (August 9–13): Drew Vision, who is releasing a new song on Aug. 7, is participating with JoJo, Kenzie Ziegler, Mario and more. The artists will perform during the kickoff concert, which began at 5 p.m. on the 9th. The week-long virtual event benefits youth who are experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. Friday, August 14
- Waxahatchee, Daniel Rossen and Christopher Bear of Grizzly Bear, The War on Drugs and more are performing for HeadCount’s Vote Ready virtual concert to encourage voter registration. People who check their voter registration status at HeadCount.org ahead of the event will receive a free e‑ticket for the livestream, which begins at 7 p.m. ET.
- Nona Hendryx in conjunction with New York-based collective Nubian Q.U.E.E.N.X. have partnered with feminist group JASS (Just Associates) to present a Musical Meditation and Celebration of Radical Healing on Aug. 14. The virtual event will feature an appearance by political activist Angela Davis, along with a collaborative performance by Hendryx and Nubian Q.U.E.E.N.X. Other performers include Lebo Mashile, Sara Curruchich, Hope Masike and Monique Wilson. Radical Healing will be livestreamed on the StreamYard platform beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
Sunday, August 16
- Steel Panther is throwing virtual concert Rockdown in the Lockdown to benefit Crew Nation and a Los Angeles animal rescue. The band will be interacting with fans during the show, as well as playing pre-recorded sketch comedy pieces. Tickets are $15, with VIP upgrades available; information on how to watch will be provided once a ticket is purchased. The show begins at 5 p.m. ET.

- Carnegie Hall, the iconic New York concert hall, is streaming a selection from its archive every Friday beginning at 3:00 am ET as part of Carnegie Hall Fridays. Streams will remain accessible for 72 hours. Visit carnegiehall.org for the updated schedule.
- The Grateful Dead’s YouTube channel plays hosts every Friday to Shakedown Stream, a two-part live stream for fans of the long-running rock band. Archivist David Lemieux and historian Gary Lambert host a live Q&A, which is followed by a re-airing of a classic Dead show. Fridays at 8:00 pm ET.
- Pink Floyd will stream a concert from the British rock band’s long history every Friday at 12:00 pm ET. You can watch on YouTube.

- Ben Folds hosts live Saturday Apartment Requests from his living room. Watch on YouTube at 7:00 pm ET.

- Widespread Panic hosts weekly “Never Miss a Sunday Show” live streams of past concerts every week on nugs.tv. Sunday at 8:00 pm ET.

- London’s Royal Albert Hall is regularly streaming exclusive sessions from various artists homes. Part artists include KT Tunstall, Rufus Wainwright and Richard Thompson. Visit royalalberthall.org for an updated schedule.
- Pickathon, an annual music festival in Portland, is streaming #AConcertADay every day at 4 p.m. ET on its YouTube channel.
- D‑Nice, the celebrity DJ/producer/rapper/photographer, hosts nightly “Club Quarantine” live streams on his Instagram. They’ve featured “guest appearances” by singers like John Legend and rappers Common and Big Daddy Kane.
- Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are hosting virtual hip hop battles on Instagram Live called Verzuz. Erykah Badu and Jill Scott came together for three hours of magic in a recent one.
- The London Symphony Orchestra streams a concert from its archive twice a week — every Sunday and Thursday — on its YouTube channel. Visit lso.co.uk for an updated schedule.
- H.E.R. hosts “Girls With Guitars,” a performance and conversation series, on her Instagram. Pasts guests included Sheryl Crow, Tori Kelly and Alessia Cara.

- Claptone in the Circus — Tech-house artist, Claptone, has unveiled a weekly immersive video series called “Claptone In the Circus.” Every Wednesday from now until August 5th, 2020, the German producer will be streaming live at 12:00 pm PST, 3:00 pm EST through his YouTube channel.
- Death Cab for Cutie Lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Gibbard has started a sporadic ‘Live From Home’ stream, on YouTube and Facebook.
